What affects nerve impulse speed?

Action potential

What is involved in electromyographic and nerve conduction velocity testing?

These tests involve stimulating the median nerve with electricity and measuring the resulting speed and strength of the muscle response, as well as recording speed of nerve transmission across the carpal tunnel.

What factors influence the transmission of light?

I only know ONE factor that affects the speed of light. Its the medium.

How does each factor affect transmission of sound waves?

Pressure does not make any change in the speed of sound But temperature affects it. Velocity is proportional to the square root of kelvin temperature Humidity also affects the speed of sound. Higher the humidity more the speed

How do nerve axons enhance speed of nerve impulse transmission?

By being wrapped in myelin sheaths, produced by Schawann cells in the peripheral nervous system and oligodendrocytes in the central nervous system.

Do smaller tires effect speedometer?

Yes. Because the speed is usually measured at the transmission, smaller tires make the speed show faster than is actually travelled.

What is wind speed measured with?

Wind speed is measured with an anemometer.

The speed of nerve impulse transmission through the axon of a sensory neuron will be quickest in?

I'm guessing; "myelinated nerve fibres" contrary to the much slower "non-myelinated nerve fibres"

Does length and mass affect speed and distance?

I cannot say about "lenght", but distance is a measure of length so length affects distance. Speed is the rate of change of distance (over time) so length affects speed. Mass does not significantly affect speed or distance but, because they are affected by acceleration and acceleration is affected by mass (for a given force), then mass affects them. Also, mass affects space time and the presence or absence of mass changes the lines along which distances are measured and so distances and speed are affected.

How is the deadliest tornado measured?

Its is measured by speed, power, andwind speed

How much speed transmission does a Chevy 305 engine have?

An autimatic transmission will have a 4 speed transmission and a manual transmission will have a 5 speed transmission.

Is clock speed is measured in bytes?

No. Clock Speed is measured in Megahertz(MHz)
