I don't think there is an age limit, however if you're a really little kid then they probably won't sell it to you in the store.
There is no listing for the oldest person in Alaska. The oldest person ever to live in the United States was 119 years of age.
Age doesn't matter if they don't ID you. I'm 15 and buy lighters and lighter fluid at Walgreens all the time
There is no age requirement to buy a lighter. However, the retailer can refuse to sell to whomever they want. So it is really up to the person selling it to you, but it is not illegal to try at any age.
define "adult." most likely 18.
There is no age limit to buying lighters. You can be 2 years old to buy one HOWEVER, it is the stores decision to sell it to you. You have to be 18 to buy butane products, and lighter fluid, BUT, lighters such as the average BIC don't use butane. There is a law stating you cant sell cigarette paraphernalia to minors, and lighters don't fall under that category. So, basically there is no age limit to buying lighters in the UK.
It depends where and what kind of lighter; for instance, if you want to buy a Bic lighter, then really it's the seller's choice. If it's a gas station, they'll probably sell you one. But if you want a Zippo and gas stations don't sell them, then you'll have to go to Walgreens, a smoke shop, or somewhere else, and at those places, you will have to be 18.
There is no minimum age for a person to buy a lighter. Anyone but an obvious child can buy a lighter in Ohio.
Most places say you have to be 18 to buy a lighter, however in England and wales, the legal age for buying any ignition source (such as lighters, matches etc.) is 16. The confusion is due to the legal age for buying tobacco products (such as cigarettes, cigars etc.) being 18.
There is no age limit in the US to have a lighter in your possession.
