The Armistice Agreement
The Rush-Bagot agreement demilitarized the Great Lakes where the British had many ships and outposts. It made a more formal border between the United States and British Canada.
The treaty that ended boundary disputes between the United States and Spain is known as the Adams-Onís Treaty, signed in 1819. This agreement resolved territorial disagreements and ceded Florida to the United States while defining the western boundaries of the Louisiana Purchase. It also established the borders between the U.S. and New Spain, which later became part of Mexico.
The fighting in the Korean War ended with an armistice agreement signed on July 27, 1953. This agreement established a ceasefire and created the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) as a buffer between North and South Korea.
