The Guadalupe-Hidalgo Treaty
The Guadalupe-Hidalgo treaty, signed at the end of the Mexican-American War (1846-1848).
The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), signed in 1947, was the first major economic agreement signed entirely after the end of WWII. The origins of GATT were laid in the Bretton Woods Agreement signed in July of 1944. The Bretton Woods Agreement also led to the establishment of the World Bank and the IMF after the war.
