Aloha. Answer: There are small inter-island airlines that operate in Hawai`i: Aloha, Mokulele, etc. Rates are good for most, and even better if you are kama-aina (a local).
It's mostly commuter planes and helicopters for those flights. The flights are about $150-200. One major airline though is Hawaiian airlines if you want to fly with a big name company. I think the little guys tend to be just as good.
