There are really too many ancient Roman inventions that are in use today to list. However here are some: indoor toilets, running water in houses, paved roads, apartment buildings, the atrium concept in architecture, central heating, the taxi meter, the dome, concrete, athletic shoes (The Roman soldier's military boot was made to give foot support exactly as our present day training shoes) and aqueducts or water pipes. Of course most of these inventions have been updated and modernized, but the concept and purpose is the same as was the concept and purpose of he ancient Romans.
