I am only aware that the Mayan Calendar ends in 2012, The Mayan calendar stops at the end of the year 2012, churning up all sorts of religious, scientific, astrological and historic reasons why this calendar foretells the end of life as we know it. The Mayan Prophecy is gaining strength and appears to be worrying people in all areas of society.
Because they got tired.
Mayan Calendar EndsDecember 21, 2012 is the winter solstice when the Mayan calendar ends. Not all calendars stop on this day; many beliefs and conspiracies about this day focus attention on "The End of the World." There is no evidence to support this theory. Supposedly, December 21st, 2012 is the day of the galactic alignment. See the related link for details.
The ancient Mayans predicted that something very important/ life changing will happen in 2012. So of course the first thing we assume is that it will be the apocalypse. We don't know if the Mayans simply stopped making calendars or if the world will end or if it's all bullcrap :P -zutphen aven
no need to worry. Its says in the bible, God promised he wont end the world in 2012. Plus whay would there be events occurring after the "ending date" anyway. Nobody can predict when the earth is going to end. People are just ignorant and gullible. >=(Answer2012 is calculated to be the time of the return of Quetzalcoatl, according to ancient Mayan calendars. In their religion, it was to be the time of the end of the world and the beginning of a new era.
AnswerThe ancient Greeks did not predict the end of the world in 2012. However, some have read an ancient Mayan calendar to predict the end of the world in 2012.
It just so happens that the one of the Mayan Calendars ends on December 21, 2012. This had led to the belief that the Mayans, who some believe had prophetic abilities, were predicting the world's end.
From start of the 2003 season to the end of 2014 season. There would be 219 races. Vast majoirty of races were 17-19 races in a season. However, this isn't including 2012 where there were 20 races in a single season.
Obviously it depends on what they are saying about it. However if you are referring to what people are saying about the Mayan calendar then they do not understand calendars. The world will not end.
Like all end of the Earth Theories, there is no solid evidence for the said event. There are only theories in science, and misconstrued stories of Mayan calendars and events in the bible, there are no solid reasons why the world should end in 2012.
People think that the world is gonna end in 2012 because thousands of years ago, there was a tribe of Indians. I think they were called the Maylan Indians. They made calendars, and mysteriously stopped at 2012. Now, this dumb rumor keeps spreading.
The world will not end in 2012 people are just trying to scare children and adults. It will end during my life or yours it can end in someone else's life. Although that i believe, don't be scared because they have said that 4 times now. There is no evidence that the world will end in 2012. Just because the Mayan calendar ends doesn't mean the world is going into an apocalypse and the world is going to end. All calendars have to end sometime, and the Mayan calendar just happens to end in 2012. I think the mayans just got board of making calendars of years they will never see so they probably said "hey why don't we try to build a house." Then if that didn't happen they probably died off before they could get to 2013
It wasn't suppose to end. The Mayan calendar is like any calendar it ends. Every year our calendars end in December, but it doesn't mean the world is going to end. It is the same with the Mayan. Modern man read into it and placed his own meaning on something that is from a long ago past.
