Coyotes are often prey to Gray Wolves, Bears, Pumas, and other predators that are larger than them. Usually, though, they aren't being eaten, but most likely attacked and killed due to territorial, food, and environmental conflicts with other animals.

Wolves and cougars may eat coyotes. However, if the coyote has died, any small predator or scavenger may dine on the carcass - vultures, hawks, eagles, ravens, badgers, bobcats, foxes, etc. Nothing is wasted in the desert.
