Yes. Pig skin is sensitive to the sun and they can get burnt. This is one of the reasons that they like to roll in mud. The mud keeps their skin cool and also acts as a sunblock.

Bears do not intentionally pack their butts with mud. However, they may roll in mud or dirt for various reasons, such as to cool off, protect their skin from sunburn or insects, or to mark their territory with scent. This behavior can result in mud being smeared on their bodies, including their hindquarters.
