The animal that started the plague first was the rat. They had parasites in their skin and spread it to humans
Rats, fleas, and mice where mainly the first to get the plague and spread it around.
In the 1500's and 1600's, but this is not the first plague.
I believe rats was the first to carry the black death, they were called the black rats and the plague was spread to humans, that's what i was told in my history lesson:)
it originated in China. From there on it spread to Europe.
Pneumonic Plague is the most serious form of plague. It should not be confused with Bubonic Plague, the "Black Death" of Medieval Europe. As it's name implies, it affects the lungs. It can be successfully treated if antibiotics are administered within the first 24 hours of symptoms appearing. Without treatment it is uniformly fatal in 36-48 hours. 98% of the cases reported each year occur in Africa.
Infected sailors traveled from one country to another carrying the disease.
First of all, there is no cure. Black death can easily spread. people with the disease die six or seven days later
mostly loius pasture found it out. Some also say that one doctor found its cause, but was killed.
It came on ships that had rats with fleas from Asia. Asia was the first place to experience the plague and it came through Italy from ships at ports. The world in this time was a dirty place so rats and fleas were everywhere. People didn't take baths or wash clothing so they came into contact with the fleas that carried the plague.
They blamed the jews for the plague. Jews were usually one of the first targets for they were thought as unholy for not believing in Jesus.
Well, first of all it's called the middle ages, and yes of course. Or the Medieval period. You can also get it today. The plague [black death] was common back then. It was a terrible disease that spread because people in the middle ages were not clean. They took 1-3 baths a year, which made them targets for the black death. Traders, went to other places to trade and if they had it they would then spread it to other countries. The plague covered all of Europe. People became desperate so they came up with weird, and strange cures. Like putting chickens in your arm pits. Or putting dead wolfs in barrels so the plague would give bacteria to that instead. Known of them worked. The plague was spread by fleas, but back then they thought it spread by rats.
The plague is an older disease, but the first Great Plague occurred in the 14th century in Europe, long after the first crusades.
