Hammerhead sharks main prey is stingrays but they also feed on fish, squid, octopi and other smaller sharks, including baby hammerheads. Considering the largest hammerhead recorded was 6 metres (20 feet) long, a smaller shark could easily be a 3 metre (10 foot) long reef shark!
There are 9 known species of hammerhead shark, they are all predators. They eat many things including other sharks and they have been know to be canabalistic, so in a sense a hammerhead shark may fall prey to it's own species.
The sense that a hammerhead shark uses is their smell.
The Hammerhead shark is not a mammal.
