I prefer working with both kinds. With 'big' animals I take it you mean cattle, horses, pigs etc. and with 'small' animals, I take it you mean rodents, reptiles and birds.

Vacations (holidays form work) are a human invention and only apply to humans. Wild animals such as song birds can not and do not take vacations. They may migrate to different parts of the world during certain seasons, but this is to ensure that their food supply is maintained, it is not a vacation.
