Anything. Rats are omnivorous.
In my experience, other than very acidic citrus fruit, pet rats will enjoy any food. I fed mine a diet of one part low-protein dog food for old fat dogs and one part parrot mix (seeds and nuts and little colored biscuits) in addition to small amounts of table scraps. They love people food and will get fat fast on it. They love cheese, eggs, rice, bacon, popcorn, shrimp, potatoes, bananas, basically, all the things that humans adore. Rats are highly motivated by bananas and meat. As mine got older they definitely could tell the difference between what was good (people food) and what was not (dog food) and would hold out for the scraps if they could get them.
But really, you want to watch what they eat so they stay healthy. That's why you should choose the low protein dog food for a staple. Let scraps be treats. Oh, and no peanut butter--they can choke on it. And no caffeine (including chocolate).
Rats eat many little things like little mice, snakes, bugs, and dead things.
Lets say their name sake. Rats. This snake will eat other rodents like mice. Frogs and other small creatures.
I'm thinking they would mainly eat things from the trash, or anything they can get their hands on.
Snakes. fox ,wolf ,snake ,eagle ,bear ,tigers, cats,, kittens ,and other stuff that eats it
If you gave them some chocolate they probably would because it would smell nice and have milk in it but i doubt its gunna be good for em :)

Most certainly. Rats have been known to eat almost anything, from "people" cheese to cardboard. There have been instances of rats eating their own feces to survive. Rats can eat cheese that people eat, but people shouldn't eat cheese that rats eat unless it's safe.
Bees, being considerably smaller than a rat, can not eat the rat. Nor do rats eat bees.
Rats will eat anything, including dead raccoons.
no they dont<<<< actually rats CAN eat hamsters... males rats can be terrtorial and if a hamster enters their territory, then they will attack it and possibly eat it. Also, if they are very hungry, or starving, they will also eat them.
Pet rats are not domesticated wild rats, rather, they are brown rats domesticated more than 100 years ago to now be fancy rats.

I believe the first pet rats were domesticated very early by the Ancient Inca. In the US, by the late 1800s rats were kept in captivity as pets and by the early 1900s had become a popular pet.

Yes, hawks eat rats.
It is unlikely. Domesticated rats and their wild brethren are very different and wild rats are not likely to be much interested in your pets. If domesticated rats are attracting wild pests, it is likely related to their food. Ensure that the cage is tightly secured and the food stored away and any problem with likely be averted.
