To be a ruler and a leader !
~ Richelyne B. :)
Being the 'High Priest of Every Temple', pharaoh represented the gods on Earth. He performed the rituals and built temples to honor the gods.
In the beginning of Ancient Egypt there was only 2 different classes. The nobles and Pharaoh and everyone else, but after a long time a middle class began to appear and 5 different classes formed. The Pharaoh, the nobles, scribes and educated people, the farmers, and the slaves.
Queen Cleopatra and Queen Hatepsut was both was important female pharaohs... and i just gave 2 in case...

They had to manage the temples and every thing in them. They also had to give offerings to images of the gods. Each priest would have a bath many times a day. As they walked away from the temple they had to wipe away their foot steps. They also had many more jobs, but they were payed VERY well. The priests in ancient Egypt were said to have been learned in all of the wisdom of the Egyptians. Therefore, they were also the teachers of the scientists, philosophers intellectuals, physicians, architects etc. of Egypt.

No,menuhoteo 2 did not have a pyramid instead he built beautiful tombs & temples. He's seen as the most important pharaoh of the ancient egypt.
Well, you cant really say who was the president of ancient Egypt is for 2 main reason. 1: Ancient didnt have presidents, they had pharoes. 2: They were lots f leaders in ancient Egypt. So, the current president of Egypt (as of January, 2011, which will probably change due to eygpts revolution) is Hosny Mubarak (I'm not sure I spelt it right.) and they were lots of pharaohs of ancient Egypt, such as the famous boy Pharaoh Tutankhamen. I hope you liked my answer, signed. mescoman

Ancient egyptians believed in different gods to the Greeks, but they were both polythiestic cultures (which means that they believed in more than 1 god.) Also, Greeks and egypitans had different government types. Ancient Egypt had 1 pharoah, that would control all of Egypt. The heir of the pharaoh was the oldest son of the pharaoh. Different ancient greek cities had different types of government. Sparta had 2 kiings, but Athens only had 1. The Greeks and the egyptians also had different types of cultures. Greeks wore togas where as egyptians wore the dresses and kilts. they ate different foods too. Ancient Greece and ancient Egypt were pretty similar when it comes to religion though.
Because he was their pharaoh, the religious and political leader of Egypt.
2+2=4
None. Moses was raised by Pharaoh's daughter (Exodus ch.2), but never himself served as king of Egypt. It was Joseph, a few generations earlier, who was second-in-command of Egypt (Genesis 41) under the Pharaoh (or Pharaohs) of his time, from 1531 to 1451 BCE according to traditional chronology.
