The largest Muslim populations are in Indonesia and Pakistan, both non-Arab countries. Although there are Muslims in every country in the world today, the largest Muslim populations are in Indonesia, Pakistan, and the Arab countries.
There is no such thing as a "purely" Muslim country. Every country has at least one non-Muslim. The following is a list of non-Arab countries with over 90% Muslim population: (>99%) Mauritania, Maldives, Somalia (99-98%) Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Comoros, Djibouti (97-96%) Pakistan (95%) Tajikistan (94%) Senegal (94-93%) Azerbaijan (90%) Mali, Niger, Gambia That makes for a total of 15 "pure" non-Arab countries.
Turkey or Iran are two such Middle Eastern states.

The main reason is the strong rise of Muslim fundamentalism and terrorism in Arab countries in the recent decades. It has made many non-Muslim countries weary of running the risk of importing Muslim fundamentalism and terrorism into their societies.
The reason Arab countries experience nighttime while English-speaking countries have daytime is due to the Earth's rotation on its axis. As the Earth rotates from west to east, different regions move into and out of sunlight, creating a cycle of day and night. When it is nighttime in the Arab countries, which are generally located to the east of English-speaking countries, those in the latter are still in daylight. The specific time difference varies depending on the geographic locations of the countries involved.
According to Merriam Webster, Arab is "a member of the Semitic people of the Arabian Peninsula" (a race of people). Muslim is "an adherent of Islam" (a religion).Muslims are of all races. Some are African, some are Caucasian, some are Arab, some are Indian, etc., etc. Anyone can convert to Islam regardless of race. As for countries where Islam is the official religion, Iran, Egypt, Indonesia and Pakistan are a few examples of Muslim countries that are non Arab.
A Muslim of mixed Berber and Arab descent could live in various countries in North Africa and the Middle East, such as Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. These regions have populations with diverse ethnic backgrounds and commonly have communities that are a mix of Berber and Arab heritage.
