The study of how living things interact with each other and with their environment is called ecology.1.the branch of Biology that deals with the relations of organisms to one another and to their physical surroundings.2.the political movement that seeks to protect the environment, especially from pollution.3. A lot of energy is lost at each step. After 3 steps, very little energy is still available for use by living organisms.

Here are the animals i know of: 1. White Tailed Deer- The White Tailed Deer compete with the Baltimore Butterfly for White Turtlehead because they both like to eat White Turtlehead. 2. Other Baltimore Butterflies/Caterpillars- Other Baltimore Butterflies/Caterpillars compete and support each other. They compete for food, shelter, space, and mates. And they support each other by producing more Baltimore Butterflies/Caterpillars. 3. Birds- Birds compete with the Baltimore Butterfly because the birds want other Baltimore Butterflies/Caterpillars to eat while the Baltimore Butterfly wants other Baltimore Butterflies/Caterpillars so they can mate with them. They both compete for other Baltimore Butterflies/Caterpillars for different Reasons.

Here is how I define 'compete': VERB 1) to attempt to be more successful than another person or group of persons performing the same activity, such as in games, business, politics, academics, etc. 2) to attempt to be more profitable than other companies producing or selling similar or identical goods or services 3) to struggle with other organisms for food, water, shelter, etc.
For the team competitions, the number of gymnasts in a team is 6 (but sometimes with a minimum of 3 -this situation can occur if a club does not have enough gymnasts in a particular level). There are many options for team compositions, depending on the competition. Some of these: At the Olympics and other major international competitions, there are 6 gymnasts in a team and 3 compete on each apparatus, with all 3 scores contributing towards the team score. At other competitions, there are 6 gymnasts in a team - 4 compete on each apparatus and the best 3 scores count towards the team total. The other option is where there are 6 gymnasts in a team and all compete, with the best 4 scores counting. This situation often occurs when all gymnasts must complete all apparatus (such as a qualification for the next round).
