When a car accelerates. Your body wants to stay stationary, therefore when the car starts accelerating you are pushed into your seat until the car stays at a constant speed and you catch up to the speed.
When a car brakes. Your body wants to keep moving forward as it was before decelerating began, you move forward but the friction between you and the seat stops you from falling off.
When a car turns. Your body wants to keep going forward in a straight line but turning makes you go in a different direction and you lean.
newton's first law of motion is also known as LAW OF INERTIA. inertia is the property of a body by which every body if is in rest it tends to remain in rest and if in motion it tends to remain in motion.
the Law of Inertia state
Newton's first law is sometimes called the law of inertia.
Another name for Newton's first law is "the law of inertia."
Law of inertia.
It is sometimes referred to as the law of inertia.
Law of Inertia.
Because that is how inertia is defined!
The law of inertia is often called Newton's first law of motion.
According to Newton's Law of Inertia, the coin on the cardboard would tend to stay at rest when the cardboard is pulled slowly due to its inertia. As you pull the cardboard, the coin will initially stay in place relative to the glass of water due to its inertia. However, when the force increases or the cardboard is pulled quickly, the coin will slide off the cardboard due to the force exerted on it.
the law of inertia
This is because the concept of inertia is introduced in the first law of motion.
