Amish is a group that claim to be Christian. They usually try to avoid modern conveniences and technology such as television, radio, automobiles, etc. They prefer to live as people lived before the inventions of the 1900's and today. They farm, travel, and build things by hand and using animals such as horses, oxen, and cattle. They can usually be readily recognized by the 1800's style clothing typically worn. the women almost always are seen wearing a bonnet on their heads, and the men will usually have the distinctive beards. They will use modern conveniences only when deemed absolutely neccessary. Menonnites likewise tend to shun modern conveniences to a degree, but they are more liberal. They are more integrated into the modern world, and will make regular use of cars and other modern innovations. But they likewise have distinctive clothing and hair styles that set them apart from the world around them. They also claim to be Christian.
