Well it depends on the year, however most common are "inhibitor switch" which is on top of the trans under the cooling hoses, American cars call then selector switchs or PRNDL switches, they kind of look the same. ALso they have problems with sensors

inside the trans, some years you can replace them other times replace/overhaul the trans.
