In depends on the context of the word. Lolita may refer to the following:

1) A type of Japanese street fashion which takes much influence from romantic aesthetics of the Victorian and Rococo period custumes (it has nothing to do with the following descriptions)

2) The novel by Vladmir Nabokov, and/or it's film adaptations

3) Following from #2, a derogatory word used to describe a young and promiscuous girl

4) Related to a type of Japanese adult graphic novel or anime genre, better known as "lolicon"

5) Again, following from #2, Lolita is a nickname from Dolores, which is Spanish for, "Sorrow"

Why cant you get little Lolitas?

The term "Lolita" often refers to a controversial and problematic concept stemming from Vladimir Nabokov's novel, which depicts themes of obsession and manipulation. In contemporary discussions, the idea of "little Lolitas" can evoke harmful stereotypes and sexualization of minors, leading to ethical and legal concerns. Promoting or engaging with such concepts can be damaging to society and individuals, emphasizing the importance of protecting the innocence of children. Therefore, it is crucial to approach topics involving minors with care and respect.

Loli Goth Dread Falls?

I supppose you mean Gothic Lolita Dread Falls? Any who, most lolitas in general pride themselves in being pretty and very girly even when it comes to the goth variant of the style. From my experiences most lolitas don't find dread falls appealing so they would never wear them. If you wanted to know what dread falls were, they're basically dread locks that you can tie into your hair without having to get real dread locks.

I was on Wikianswers and I came across a page about Lolitas and it came up with a threat about them telling the police about this query does that count to me or just the person who asked the question?

Sounds more like a vandal writing a threat and trying to pass it off as something official.

Weight and height requirements for Lolita fashion?

Although this question was under modeling, there are no specific weight and height requirements for wearing lolita. I've seen many lolitas from 5 foot to 6 foot tall wear the clothing well. What really matters, aside of understanding the fashion (such as how to wear, what constitutes as lolita, and where to buy) is actual body measurements. When buying or customizing lolita clothing, keep in mind of the basic silhouette. Ex: Skirts sit at the waistline (natural waistline; smallest part of the torso; across the bellybutton) and should be around knee length.

What is a Lolita?

i don't know really it was on icarly it might be real or not like those daka shoesIt is supposed to be a play on Apple's iPod. If you notice on the show, instead of apples on the computers there are pears.Ok, both my companions are wrong. Lolita is a term to describe a young girl you is sexually precious. Icarly, a child's show, should NOT have such content. If so, I am going t file a complaint, why would a kids show use such a term?A lolita is a seductive adolescent girl created by Vladimir Nabokov in the Novel Lolita about a precocious schoolgirl seduced by an older man. Lolita is used in Miley Cyrus 2010 song permanent December "I met a boy in every city, no one kept me amused but don't called me a LOLITA cause i don't let em though cause I'm savin all my love for someone and it's you"It is definitely a sexually precious young female, youtube Moi...Lolita by Alizée, that song started the Lolita generation in France, and worldwide. Not only is it a good, catchy song, but without any sex in the video, it gives a decent enough insight.EDIT by HawkTheBloodless: Apart from the Sexually precious girl term it is also a fashion coming form Japan. What these Lolitas strive for is Elegance and Modesty, despite the other meanings it has NOTHING to do with sex! I being a beginner Lolita myself know NO Lolitas that are out for Sex though I've heard of a term called Erotic Lolita.. you can probably guess what that means but I for one want nothing to do with it!DOUBLE EDIT The Lolita style is of Victorian and occasionally Rococoan origin, so when it comes to the Lolita fashion style, all forms are modest, though the EroLoli style is more 'daring', it is daring by Victorian standards, which would be bloomers showing, and wearing a corset without a blouse underneath, though never would any of it be revealing. The Lolita style is very popular in Japan, worn as a fashion style by many people, and is definitely not worn as a costume or to be confused with cosplaying. Many true Lolitas will be offended if you refer to them as cosplayers in any sort of way, though some people, usually Westerners, wear Lolita outfits at anime conventions or find their way to Lolita from branching out as a cosplayer... Like I did.

There are no physical stores wher you can buy Lolita clothing in New York, or anywhere in the United States for the time being. To aquire Lolita clothing you can order them directly from Japan. A handful of Japanese lolita brands ship internationally, and more are joining the global market as the numbers of Western Lolitas grow all around the world. There are also US based Lolita brands that have online shops as well. Maybe one day a Lolita shop might open up in New York or New York City? Who knows? Only time will tell.

How do you dress like lolita girl?

Lolita is a Japanese fashion that started in the 80s. Back then, there was no specific rules or codes, but now there are. The basic Lolita outfits consists of a knee-length dress that has a petticoat and set of bloomers underneith, creating a bell shape. The necklines are typically square and show no cleavge or shoulder (unless you are wearing a jumper-skirt and it is summer. Than it is acceptable). You may also wear a skirt and blouse combination, but the skirt must have a bell shape, as mentioned above. Lolitas also wear knee-high socks that can be patterned, a solid color, and/or topped with high-quality cotton lace. There may be cuffs made from cotton lace, or wristlets, on as well as classic wrist-length gloves. The hair can be pup up or down, but never in a ponytail. The point is to look elegant. There is usually decoration, such as half or full bonnets, headdresses, crown, tiaras, and bows, both large and small. Jewlery is usually made with silver or gold, or imiation/plated pieces. Shoes are typically Mary-Janes, but flats are acceptable in a pinch. The heels must be thick, and can be no more than 5 inches. They can be made from any material, but the most common is leather or man-made leather. Boots are also worn in the winter. There are other accesories, such as parasols, fans, bags, stuffed animals and nail art. The aim of the look is to be elegant and beautiful. There are many specialized, or sub-category, Lolita looks such as Sweet, Gothic, Hime, Casual and Classic.

What is Lolita?

Lolita was originally just a girls name of Spanish origin, derived from 'Lola'. In 1955, Vladimir Nabokov wrote a novel with the title and main character named as such, and it became more well-known. Unfortunately, the book was known for the sexual relationship between an older man and a twelve year old girl, and so Lolita became a slang term for a very young (12-14) sexual or seductive girl (it's very cute acutally) However, 'Gothic Lolita' is also a broad fashion style inspired in Japan started by a performer MANA, but it is quite far from the term. The Lolita fashion is based around rococo and early Victorian styled dress. The fashion is actually very conservative and not sexual at all. Gothic Lolita can be found all over the world, and has a very diverse fan base. There is a branch of Lolita fashion, called 'Ero-Loli', which is supposed to be more sexually aimed. In the UK, there was a furniture brand recalled because of the name 'Lolita' and its relations to the book. The most well-known recall was of a bed for children, which was recalled because of angry parents. ,
