MLK was a very influential person. He was also a very smart student. He skipped two grades and became a doctor of many things such as philosophy. He was not good in gym class but he never gave up. He did everything for the people.
Martin Luther was, more than anything, profoundly pious and genuinely devout. He was am man that was a genius, possessing keen intelligence and outstanding gifts for language, scholarship and music. He was, with all his poetic soul, a lover of God and uncompromisingly committed to His truth. He was brave - willing to fight and die for the honor of God. He loved family life. Luther proved to be an affectionate and caring husband, and a tender, though at times disturbingly stern, father, as well as a man of fierce loyalty and devotion to his friends. Luther often displayed a playful sense of humor, and he could be sacrificially generous. He made himself available to the university students who attended his classes and lectures, and was a diligent church pastor and a tireless mentor to many who sought to serve the Reformation. Luther was also flawed and imperfect, though unquestionably and touchingly human. In many things, he tended to be fastidious and even compulsive, a trait that was most evident in his early manhood, while he was still an Augustinian monk. Later in life he seems to have mellowed somewhat in this area, but even so, he remained throughout his recorded life highly passionate, vehement and emotional, almost violent. He could be brash, as well as irritable, cross and short-tempered. When he was convinced he was right, and in oral or written debate, he was aggressive and extremely combative, sometimes to the point of brutishness. He was not infrequently vulgar, using a great many scatological references in his writings and speech. He could be merciless, even cruel, in his verbal attacks on enemies. He was a prodigious writer, speaker, teacher and preacher, with an astonishing capacity for hard work. This, at times, caused him great trouble, because he suffered from many physical and emotional maladies. Throughout his life he struggled with insomnia, stomach trouble, constipation and hemorrhoids. He also battled terrible and severe depressions and anxiety spells. Being a German, he loved his beer, and could drink quite a bit. Luther was a puzzling mixture of some timidity with loads of testosterone and lion-like courage.
