West Higland White Terriers are wonderful breeds they have a silky white coat and are lovable dogs in fact they are in the companion group. West highland terriers don't grow to big they have a medium height which means they are not too big and not too small. If your looking for a breeder so you can buy a west highland terrier buy a book on them and sometimes they recommend breeders. west highlands are strongly built and they have a spirit of an old time showman and are very confident dogs. west highlands have two layers of fur that is so soft like a blanket,they are furry and have a close undercoat. Their skulls have a sort of dome shape. They have a nose that is a dark black color that is large. Their eyes are sort of sunken in but spread apart fairly their shoulders slope just a little bitand their cute little elbows are well in they have short little legs and a perfectly straight body. Westies have short little hind legs mostly all of their body parts are strong. Male westies are 11 inches tall and females are 10 inches tall. West highland are excellent with children and are marvelous dogs if you have a apartment or a house the westies will think it's just perfect for them to live in. Westies aren't hard to train at all so these dogs are perfect. The westie are very healthy dogs very rare would a westie have health problems. Westies enjoy playing outside very much so make sure they have excersise.When westies are puppies they of course have to go through a teething stage so buy them stuff to chew on. Also when westies are a couple of weeks old thy have a pigmented color. In a couple of weeks the westies paw pads and nose will start to turn black.
