I suggest googling it using my categories.-AS

Do only a few factors threaten biodiversity?

A lot of factors threaten biodiversity. So that question or answer is false.

What are the factors affecting primary productivity of the marine environment?

Available nutrients are usually limiting factors. This includes the usual elements like Nitrogen and Phosphorous to name a few; there are many others nutrients required as well. There are other abiotic (maybe less obvious) factors that affect primary production in marine environments:-turbulence and critical depth-light-biosphere production-pollution (note: this is not typically considered to have a large influence, though I still find it worth mentioning :p)There are biotic factors that influence primary production as well, just on a small scale in the grand scheme of things.

What organisms live in a drop of water?

No unless there is biotic factors within the drop(living creatures). These biotic factors must react to each other and provide a niche to the ecosystem also. "An ecosystem is a natural unit consisting of all plants, animals and microorganisms (biotic factors) in an area functioning together with all of the physical (abiotic) factors of the environment. An ecosystem is a unit of interdependent organisms which share the same habitat. Ecosystems usually form a number of food webs which show the interdependence of the organisms within the ecosystem.[1]" (Wikipedia.com)

Is the salt water lake close to mariana trench?

If it's on one of the Mariana islands, it might be. If you mean some other salt water lake, then it can't be too close; it's a few hundred miles to any other land, and thousands of miles to anything that isn't a fairly small island.

What are facts about the mariana trench?

The Mariana Trench (or Marianas Trench) is the deepest known part of the world's oceans, and the deepest location on the surface of the Earth's crust. It is located in the western Pacific Ocean, to the east of the Mariana Islands. The trench is about 2550 km (1580 miles) long but has a mean width of only 69 km (43 miles). It reaches a maximum depth of about 11,034 meters (36,201 feet) at the Challenger Deep, a small slot-shaped valley in its floor, at its southern end.[1]Part of the Izu-Bonin-Mariana Arc system, the trench forms the boundary between two tectonic plates, where the western edge of the Pacific Plate is subducted beneath the small Mariana Plate. Because the Pacific plate is the largest of all the tectonic plates on Earth, crustal material at its western edge has had a long time since formation (up to 170 million years) to compact and become very dense; hence its great height-difference (which translates to water depth) relative to the higher-riding Mariana Plate, at the point where the Pacific Plate crust is subducted (is forced down beneath the other). This deep area, is the Mariana trench proper. The movement of these plates is also responsible for the formation of the Mariana Islands. At the bottom of the trench, where the plates meet, the water column above exerts a pressure of 108.6 MPa, over one thousand times the standard atmospheric pressure at sea level. Some creatures of the type normally encountered that could live at these depths are few, but some fish species, like the angler fish or other deep-sea fish, have been spotted in these waters.[

Where is marinaira trench locaded?

The Mariana Trench runs south from central Japan, to the east of the Philippines. It's north end is a few hundred miles south of the point where the current severe earthquake activity is happening in Japan and it stretches about 1500 miles in an arc, curving east in a half-moon and southwards where the Pacific Plate dives below the Mariana Plate which holds the Mariana island arc. It's then another 1000 miles and more south to Papua-New Guinea. Because the plates are thick at this point, the Pacific plate dive a long way down to go under the Mariana Plate and the trench is the deepest place you can reach without drilling holes - it's nearly 36,000 feet deep, which is deeper than Everest is above sea level.

Can you visit Mariana Trench?

You can pass over it in a ship but to go to the sea floor in it you need a special bathysphere.
