Your strengths should always reflect what you have done well throughout the reporting period. For example, how much money you saved or brought in for the company. Saving money should be as important as revenue. Customer service is a big area, too. Teamwork, interpersonal skills and communication are areas of strenth. When listing these, always put in an example of what you dod in that area. Don't just say, "I'm an excellent communicator." Tell what made you an excellent communicator. For example, "By communicating the benefits of changing from product A to product B, I showd XYZ business how they would improve their business with us. They upgraded and signed a contract with us for the next year." Evidence proves your self rating.

Weakness are more difficult. First, always make sure you show more strengths than weaknesses. Second, make a weakness into a strength. For example, "Time Management. I have had to get a calander and track dues dates and times to keep my time management on schedule. So far I have missed zero apporintments and been late on zero deadlines." Or, "My difficulty in reaching long-term goals. I have learned to make short-term goals giving me the opportunity to more towards the long-term issue without delay."

Self evaluation is all about making yourself known to the upper levels in your company. If they do not know who you are when they get your evaluation, you are in trouble already. You should keep notes throughout the year and always take time to sit with your immediate supervisor to discuss your performance daily or weekly. They can be your biggest supporters or...
