Abbysinians are the Habesha people of parts of Ethiopia and Eritrea formerly known as Abyssinia.

There are also breeds of horses, cats, and guinea pigs known as "Abyssianian horses", "Abyssianians cats", and "Abyssinian guinea pigs", called "Abyssians" for short when the context makes it clear that the Abyssinian people are not meant. And there is a Reggae band called "The Abyssinians".
