There are currently no ways to mine in free to play RuneScape and be away from the keyboard for a long time. The only way in Runescape to mine away from the keyboard is through the Living Rock Caverns, which is a pay to play feature and is not accessible by free to play players.
Get some resource through mining, woodcutting, or fishing, then sell it at the Grand Exchange.
The Bandit camp mining site, which contains 8 locations. This is the most that can be found in one area on F2P worlds.
The bestest ways are to kill hill giants or to mine coal ( if you have the mining level ) then sell them at the Grand Exchange.
Basically the same as f2p, except you have some more options available. For example, whereas a f2p player can cut yew logs, you can cut magic logs and oak logs, which are not available for f2p players; in mining, too, there are additional options, etc.
