There are also tms or moves which are required to acces certain parts of the game: Dig, and Secretpower.
Dig allows regice, registeel and regirock to be caught
secretpower allows the creation of underground bases
There are also TMs with an out of battle effect. two that I know of are teleport and sweet scent
