As of 2013 there are a total of 72 rides at the park. Out of the 72 rides, 16 of them are Roller Coasters and 3 are water rides. The roller coasters are: Blue Streak, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Corkscrew, GateKeeper, Gemini, Iron Dragon, Jr. Gemini, Magnum XL-200, Mantis, Maverick, Mean Streak, Millennium Force, Raptor, Top Thrill Dragster, Wicked Twister, and Woodstock Express. For a complete list of all rides see the related link below.
Not all rides at Cedar Point go down hills fast or feature inversions. While many attractions, especially roller coasters, are designed for thrilling drops and loops, the park also offers gentler rides, family attractions, and kiddie rides that do not include steep drops or upside-down elements. Each ride provides a unique experience tailored to different thrill levels.
Technically, it opens 1 hour early for some guests but 5 coasters are run for the hour. Then all the other rides open. So no, rides are always running when the park is open.
People are going to have different opinions on what the best roller coaster is. Most people agree that the best roller coasters are the ones that go the fastest. Kingda Ka is located in New Jersey and reaches 128 mph. The Top Thrill Dragster is located at Cedar Point in Ohio and reaches 120 mph.
Cedar Point in Sandusky,Ohio is an amusement park.I go there every summer with my family (mom,dad,b2 brothers, and sister) and it has always been really fun. There are kiddy rides,a kiddy rollercoaster called the "Junior Gemini",and food. The main attractions at Cedar Point, though, are the rollercoasters. The tallest one,Top Thrill Dragster,is 400 feet tall and goes over 100 mph.The ride is over in about 13 seconds but it is a major thrill ride. The second tallest,Millenium Force,is 300 feet tall and is also a major thrill ride. So,all in all,Cedar Point is a great Amusement Park for family and thrill seekers alike. The worst thing about Cedar Point,is the parking. :D
Of course they are. Roller Coasters and most flat rides have restraints that hold you in during the ride. All Cedar Fair parks have incredible safety standards and you will have a great time at the park. I just went to the park a few weeks ago, drove all the way from Virginia. It's a great park.
It's within a mile its not far at all. Actually castaway bay and cedar point are on the same strip.
I don't think the park in general closes, but I know the rollercoasters do close because the breaks won't work with the rain.
$7 parking parking is now $10 Parking for the 2013 season is now $15 per vehicle. Cedar Point rapes their guests in every way possible. The food in the park is ridiculously expensive. I went to the park yesterday May 18, 2013 and only went on 3 rides all day due to the super long wait times on the rides. A chicken basket and fries is $10.99 plus tax. A poweraid out of a vending machine is $4.00. Panda express sells a small plate of chicken and rice for $11. Let's just not talk about stores in the park. How about making things more affordable to families who are not super rich?
Hell yeah. Why do you want to go there? I have been to magic mountain numerous times. There are many rides you should go on. I have been on all rollercoasters in the park. You shouldn't be scared of the rides because to me none of them are scary. True, it may be fun, but Cedar point is better, there's no dragster in Cali
