Depends on what you mean by "bad". In your apple or on your bicycle, oxidation is a bad chemical change, but maybe you like brown mushy apples or are creating some art project that you happen to need a rusted bicycle for. The same is true for every chemical change. In some situations its good, useful, or generally what you want. And other times, not so much.
