Converse used to be considered superior to PF Flyers. PF Flyers were the cheaper alternative. Today however, PF Flyers are built much more nicely, and their posture foundation makes them much more comfortable and versatile than flat-soled Converses. Everyone knows about Converse, PF Flyers are definitely cooler and show good taste.
The originals were made in U.S.A., but the current "reissue" P.F. Flyers are made in China.
Converse's All stars were first made in 1908, 29 years before the pf flyers were made (1937). these dates were taken from wikipedia.
