"black otter" refers to the coat of the rabbit. it will be white on the underside, darker on the body and may have an orange coloured fur where the two meet.

there are different color otters, as well as black, lilac, blue and chocolate. blue comes from a diluted black and lilac comes from a dulited chocolate. you can also produce broken otter's.

i bred a blue satin and a broken black satin and my first generation i had a black otter, a gray, three blacks, a broken black and two broken blues. my second generation a was given a broken black otter, a blue, one broken blue, and two black. i didn't get a thrid generation, my doe became sick, but i think the thrid generation would have been like the first, and the fourth like the second and so on..i'm not sure how the genetics work and how they choose to expresse themselves, but it's very interesting!

Alaskan, Argentes, Brittania Petite, Flemish Giant, Harlequin, Havana, Himalayan, Mini Rex, New Zealand, Polish, Rex, Satin, Silver, Silver Fox, Silver Marten, Tan.

It's worth noting that not all of these species are entirely black. Some of them have some patterning, and most also exist in other colours.
