Cams are pieces of metal or wood that sit on a shaft and are bigger at one end then the other. They open and close the fuel intake of engines. A crank is a long piece of metal that connects a shaft with a water pump piston.
cam/camera means only one video device while cams/cameras means multiple video devices
Tumblr does say more followers than you cam count on your followers list because it takes time to update.
On some engines the cam-shaft does not directly operate the valves, but uses a lever (the Cam Follower) to transmit the force from the cam to the valve. Basically they are levers, and they are used to open the valves.
Cam followers can be purchased from Global Industrial, Bearings Canada, and Emerson Industrial Automation. A cam follower is a special bearing that is used to follow cams.
a sharp pointed cam, thats used in racing cars
no valve adjustment. hydraulic lifters (cam followers).
A 'cam' is a lobe shape on a rotating shaft in machinery. A 'follower' is a part that contacts the cam and goes back and forth relative to the rotation of the lobe. This is a common way of converting rotation to reciprocal action.
were the hydraulic cam followers changed with the valves if not, that is the problem.
A big cam 350 probably refers to a cummins diesel engine. Cummins diesel engines had a reputation for cam failure in the past, and the company came out with a fix they called the big cam series of engines, which means the cam bearings, lobes, followers etc were made bigger to last longer C
sound like you cam followers (if overhead cam) or lifters are making noise. Could be low oil pressure to the head.
A camshaft opens/closes the intake/exhaust valves at predetermined points of the piston travel. The cam is driven by the crankshaft, the rotating cam lobes operates thru lifters/followers that ride against the lobes.
flywheel key could be sheared OR check valve settings as likely the cam followers are on the wrong valve.
The Oldsmobile LX5, 3.5L V6 is a (DOHC) dual over head cam, engine. It doesn't have rocker arms, but roller cam followers. The followers itself can fail in the form of a faulty roller, but more likely the hydraulic tappet/slack adjuster that the end of the follower rides on or the valve spring itself is faulty/broken.
