high viscous liquid which is normally used as bonding material for asphalt, metalled roads, for paving of parking areas etc. It is being used as fuel also in some of the industrial purposes. I have personally used a shampoo "polytar" which means it is used in medicines also

Coal-tar is a heavy petroleum fraction, often used in skin, hair and scalp treatment. It's very pungent and a strong irritant to eyes and mucous membranes. Use with care, caution and sparingly.
