Yes, conks (shelf fungi) can harm a tree. They are a sign of decay within the tree and can contribute to the tree's decline by weakening the wood and making it more susceptible to diseases and pests. Additionally, conks can disrupt the tree's vascular system, affecting its ability to transport water and nutrients.
No. It just conks you out until after your procedure.
Conks are the half-circle shaped fungi you will see growing on the exposed portion of the inside of a tree, generally when a limb has been removed either by lightning or by sawing it off. It is known as a "red flag" meaning that the tree is in great danger of dying due to the fungi infesting deep into the heart/base of the tree.
It indicates that the tree is starting to rot and that there is fungus inside it.

HMS Conqueror ("Conks") remains to date the only nuclear-powered attack submarine credited with a wartime sinking. She sank the Argentine Light Cruiser General Belgrano (a converted American CL) during the Falklands War in 1982, using standard (not homing) torpedoes. She was decommissioned in 1990.
Possibly, or possibly the fuel filter. If you can't get the computer to show a diagnostic code, the fuel pump and fuel filter are a good place to start. Check the fuel pressure at the test port and compare it to the manufacturers spec. You may need to consult a reference book.
So, if your air conditioner goes on the fritz, or your washing machine blows up, or your video recorder conks out. Before you call the repairman, turn on all the lights, check all the closets and cupboards, and look under all the beds. Cause you never can tell. There just might be a gremlin in your house. They can, if someone conks you with a BB gun. A shot BB can hurt like crazy, depending on its speed and the location it hits you. If the BB hits your eye, then you stand a very good chance of being blinded. In the Army, I was hit on the knuckle of my thumb with a BB fired from a low-pressure Daisy Red Ryder . . . it carved a nice half-sphere right out of the knuckle bone. Imagine what a CO2 or multi-pump BB gun could do!
