good question. cultures affect peoples identity and also creates within people a basis of what is beutiful and acceptable our concepts of beauty are important no matter what they may be,some cutures like body piercings and huge lip rings and find it beutiful and others would find that appalling. there is also a culture who have womens foot binding where the concept of beauty on a woman would be small feet. in the west being skinny is seen as beautiful but not so in some Indian cultures it is also beautiful for a woman to be very fat but even within different cultures a person may be personally attracted to what he/she deems beautiful. no matter what, i think beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder
