Main difference is plants cells have a cell wall while animal cells don't. The cell wall is made up of cellulose. It is hard to put exact parameters only every single living thing because some animals have plant characteristics as some plants have animal characteristics. Ex. A sea cucumber is the only animal that is (partially) made up of cellulose (which goes against the "rule" of a specimen to be called an animal). The majority of plants photosynthesize to produce starch (though not all do).

How are plant and animal tissues different?

Plant and animal tissues are made up of hundreds of thousands of plant and animal cells (respectively). A plant cell is made up of many of the same components as an animal cell...but have some distinct and crucial differences. This is a Plant Cell: This is an Animal Cell: The biggest differences between the two is the presence of a cell wall, a cell membrane, a central vacuole and chloroplasts in a plant cell, and the absence of the aforementioned in an animal cell. :)

What are the 3 most common differences between plant and animal cells?

There are ALOT of differences. Depending on which grade you're in. Animal Cell - small vacuole Plant Cell - large vacuole (90% of cell) Animal Cell - Cell membrane Plant Cell - Cell membrane + cell wall Animal Cell - No chloroplasts Plant Cell - Chloroplasts Animal Cell - Funky shaped (any shape) Plant Cell - Rectangular Animal Cell - Hypotonic solution = bad Plant Cell - Hypotonic solution = good
