Out of the many sects of the Christians church there are only two groups of missionaries that ever came to the Phillipines. By far and away the most numerous were Catholic missionaries. There were also a small group of Evangelical missionaries who came to the Phillipines aswell. The Catholic missionaries were much more successful than the Evangelical missionaries in converting people to their religion. In proof of this the vast majority of Phillipinos are Catholic with only a very small minority of Evangelical Christians to this very day. A specific mention must be made to doctrine. The Catholics taught the Phillipinos that everyone in The Bible was white - whereas the Evangelicals taught their converts that a small minority of people in the bible were coloured. Phillipinos are noted for their chinese appearance.
