A pediatrician (spelt paediatrician in some countries) is a children's doctor.
A reason that children hate doctors may be that if they go to the doctors they think that they are mature enough to deal with their own sicknesses, and feel that they don't need a doctor to cure them. Another reason would be that children don't make medicine. It is made to taste bad specifically so that kids don't overdose on medicine.
they are doctors that deal with the brain
Doctors usually deal with people that have varying diseases. Those who want surgery for example or those in need of advice about their health status.
Pediatric nurses specialise in children and almost all their nursing is done on children. But they must also deal with the grown-up relatives of distressed, sick or, sadly, dead children; they must be able to communicate as equals with pediatric and other doctors, plus specialists who do not regularly deal with children; and they must be able to cope with paperwork and communication with the clerks and receptionists in the hospital/department they work in. Empathy with children who are vulnerable and scared is probably the best talent to have as it will be used the most.
