Everything sucks about being a mechanic. 15 years ago mechanics made lots of money by getting dirty and fixing your car. These days, mechanics (like myself) spend all of our time fixing bs warranty work that pays barely half of the time that it takes you to complete the task. Everything is technical way past what it used to be and figuring it all out takes way too much time. Getting paid flat rate and having to deal with everyones bs is not worth it, do not become a mechanic, I wish I wouldn't have...
