My personal favorite guitar pick is the "Dunlop Tortex .88mm" guitar pick. These picks are very very strong and don't shred to pieces and break like other picks.I would really recommend getting these!http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Dunlop-Tortex-Standard-Picks?sku=110040The only thing is, you need to decide what thickness you want it.. Thicker ones produce a deeper sound on a guitar, and thinner ones make a lighter sound on the guitar. So you need to decide what thickness you want.. I love .88mm
You can purchase Dunlop custom guitar picks at the official Jim Dunlop website. You can also purchase them from personal sellers on the auction website eBay.

Yes he has a few signature personalized picks made by Planet Waves and (more currently) Jim Dunlop. On the latest tour as of this writing (2011) he is using his black Dunlop signatures and purple Dunlop Midi Standards 1.14 MM gauge.

Its all preference really and what tone/sound your looking for - get yourself A few diff size picks and try them out . find what one suites your ability of preferred feeling . that's how I did it . I recommend Dunlop Tortex .88min pick - they last forever and they have a real nice feel to them -
That all depends on your style. If you want to play Rock or Metal, I'd recomend a heavy pick, since it'll give you a very heavy sound, but if you want to play an acoustic guitar, it's best to use a lighter pick, since that'll give a great jangly sound. If you want to get a pick that'll do everything, get a medium pick. Generally the thinner the pick the easier it is to play with
Synyster Gates owns and plays a handful of guitars with Avenged Sevenfold, but his most commonly used signature Schecter is equiped with Seymour Duncan SH-8b invaders and SH 8n invaders as can be found on his signature guitar.
muse have their own really cool Muse picks and that is mostly what he uses, but they are Dunlop picks
