There are several thousand of them, in the USA alone.
Have a look at < FCC.gov >, and the ULS (Universal Licensing System). It's all there.
Each country has different frequency bands allocated for AM and FM radio. In the U.S. AM takes up the range from 535KHz to 1605KHz. FM radio takes 88.0MHz to 108.0MHz.Each radio station then receives a slice of that frequency band, regulated by the FCC. Each station is typically given a frequency far from all other stations. For example, three stations would be given the frequencies 93.3MHz, 94.5MHz and 96.1MHz. In theory, the stations could be closer (ie 94.3MHz, 94.5MHz and 94.7MHz) though this is rarely done because each station would then cause more interference to its neighbors.(The stations don't actually 'cause interference' to their neighbors. The weaknessis the ability of consumer-grade receivers to separate stations whose frequenciesare close together.)
the radio stations in gta4 are named after a record label. and each song on each radio station belongs to the record label
Heart Radio consists of 17 stations which broadcast throughout the UK and online. Individual listening figures for each station are unavailable but Heart was said to command a 4.2% market share from September 2012 to December 2012.
Each note has a specific frequency. The frequency is defined by the wavelengths produced by the sound. Just as FM radio stations each have specific frequencies (ie: 96.5), musical notes are the same. Think of an image of a wavelength. The more squiggles, the higher the frequency, and the higher the pitch.

Radio Disney is heard on different stations in each city where it broadcasts. In order to tell you the station nearest to you, we'd have to know where you are (the city) when you listen to the radio.
euan has a big jaw
Cell phone calls are made at frequencies much higher than regular radio. For cellphone kind of signal to travel and be delivered effectively, the provider must install many broadcasting stations and each station is expensive to install and has high cost in maintenance.

Commercial AM radio stations (in the USA) operate on carrier frequencies spaced every 10 KHzbetween 550 KHz and 1.65 MHz.Commercial FM radio stations operate on carrier frequencies spaced every 200 KHz between88.1 MHz and 107.9 MHz.Commercial analog TV used to start at 54 MHz and get 6 MHz for each channel, with gaps forother services. Since the forced mass exodus to all-digital TV in June '09, I don't know wherethe TV's all are now.
The best source of information for school closings in the United States is usually the local T.V. and radio stations. Each district identifies a list of specific TV and radio stations they will notify directly of closures and delayed openings. Other stations in the area may not receive this infomration in a timely fashion, so listen to the designated stations. Radio stations almost always announce the list of closings they receive every few minutes. Television stations usually run an ongoing list of closings across the bottom of the screen or show the list every few minutes. Closings might also be posted on their websites and possibly on the school district's or individual school's websites.
