All around us. The requirement is that is made from 2 or more elements. Two household examples are water (H2O) and table salt (NaCl)
No, there are not about 5,000 elements which combine to form the various substances in our world; there are actually 102 elements which do so. Aside from those 102 elements, about a dozen super-heavy elements have also been synthesized, but they have very short half lives and their atoms don't stick around very long.Even those 102 elements include some with very short half lives, so there are really only about 90 elements that we find in the world around us. Many elements have several stable or unstable isotopes, which vary by the number of neutrons in the atomic nucleus.
Non-elements. There are only around 118 known elements, there are millions of compounds made of those elements.
From what I understand (no formal training) the 'Periodic table' is a list of the basic building blocks of everything around us or 'Elements'. Everything is comprised or made of one or more of these elements. For instance gold (on the 'P' table) cannot be broken down into anything else, or magnesium or carbon, which is one of the elements the human body is made of.
It is above us. Not around us.
Our environment contains both compounds and elements.
The study of elements and compounds, and their effects and uses on and for the world around us.
All around us are natural or artificial compounds (excepting elements).

AirThe air around us is about 21% Oxygen, about 78% Nitrogen and about 1% Argon.
A compound is made when two ELEMENTS are joined together. We can look at the elements in the periodic table from these elements we get really everything that is around us. Water is a compound made from hydrogen and oxygen. There can be different combinations of the elements as this is what makes new things.
Elements are combined into molecules, which, when combined in big groups, make up the things that are around us. Ex: H = Hydrogen, 0 = Oxygen, H₂O = Water
Elements of intrapersonal communication are the : core of the self, the needs( motivation ), cognition ( making sense of the world ), emotional feelings and responses ( to our inner thoughts and what happens around us ).
The US has what is described as a mixed economy, which has elements of capitalism and elements of socialism.
