A simple one, hitting a nail with a hammer. The kinetic energy of the hammer is transferred to the nail and drives it in. If the wood is very hard there will be some heat generated as well, and the nail won't go so far, but the same energy is being transferred from the hammer.

Braking a car from speed, the kinetic energy of the car is transferred to the brake discs which heat up. It would be difficult to prove conservation by measurement as also some energy would be transferred to the road by friction.

Examples of energy conservation include:

  • Driving less
  • Driving a more efficient car
  • Insulating structures used for residences, schools, manufacture, and business
  • Recovering energy from waste processes, such as burning methane from solid waste
  • Walking or bicycling
  • Turning lights and other equipment off
  • Swapping out incandescent bulbs for fluorescent or LED lights
  • Turning down the thermostat in general
  • Regulating the thermostat so it is lower during the night and when people are not home
  • Buying food and other products that are grown or produced locally
  • Using captured rainwater for gardening instead of city water
  • Gardening
  • Recycling and composting
  • Choosing products for low embodied energy
  • Replacing old, inefficient appliances with more efficient modern ones
  • Raising and lowering window shades and awnings appropriately for the sun's warmth

How law of conservation of energy applies to everyday basis?

It applies in the sense that you can NEVER get energy where there was none before, and you can NEVER destroy energy completely.

What is an example of energy conservation driving a car alone into the city at rush hour leaving lights on whenever you leave a room leaving your home uninsulated?

None are examples of energy conservation. Examples of energy conservation are: carpooling or taking public transportation to work, turning lights off when you leave a room, and insulating your home.

What are some examples of everyday reaction that take in the energy?

The photosynthesis is an endothermic reaction that takes place everyday.

What is meant by saying that energy is conserved?

Energy conservation can be defined as when we save energy. Examples : when we have two bulbs lighting and we take off one.

Conversation of energy?

The correct term is "conservation of energy". It either refers to making efforts not to waste energy, or to the physical law which states that under everyday circumstances, energy can't be created or destroyed.

What does the conservaton suggest about the conservation of energy the conservation of matter and the conservation of momentum?

Light energy is proof of which Conservation Law?

I am not sure how much of a proof this is; but light energy is involved both in conservation of energy, and in conservation of momentum. A photon has both energy and momentum.I am not sure how much of a proof this is; but light energy is involved both in conservation of energy, and in conservation of momentum.
