In Temperate Deciduous Forests the trees loose their leaves in the autumn time after they turn either Yellow Orange or Red. Deciduous forests experience all four seasons. These forests are further away from the equator. Some of the animals that live in Deciduous Forests are Tigers, Monkeys, Frogs, Orangutans, jaguars, snakes, alligators, toucans, panthers and Gorillas. Also some of the plants are American Beech, Carpet Moss, Common Lime, Guelder Rose, Lady Fern, Northern Arrowwood, Pecan, Shagbark Hickory, Tawny Milkcap Mushroom, White Birch, and White Oak. You would find deciduous forests in United States, Canada, and Europe, parts of Russia, China, and Japan. The layers of the forest include a tree stratum, a small tree or sapling layer, a shrub layer, an herb layer, a ground layer.
The deciduous forest is the second most endangerede biome in the world. The first endangered biome is the rain forest.
