Pearoa is the birth place of the world famous in nz soft drink, L+P.

Just north of the town is the Paeroa Historical Maritime Park, where you'll find restored historic vessels and interesting displays.

Paeroa is a place to look for antiques and collectables, so if you need any just stop by.

The very large bottle of the L+P at the eastern end of the main street has plaques that explain the development of the drink

The population is 4000 and growing.
