really stupid titan and the brother of prometheus. he is the titan responsible for letting the evils into the world by accepting the gift of the first woman, Pandora from Zeus. He is also marrying pandora. His brother prometheus is the one who annoys Zeus and steals the fire from the isle of Lemnos.
Epimetheus is notoriously known for being stupid; and Prometheus, his brother, is perpetually known for being a genius.
"After-Thinker" or "Afterthought"
I do not know he had a symbol. He married Pandora, though.
Hermes was not married per se but he fathered children of several consorts.
There is no technical god of information but here are a few close to that: * Themis-god of thought * Epimetheus-god of afterthought * Prometheus-god of beforethought * Hephaestus-god of mechanics
Epimetheus, unlike his brother Prometheus (forethought), Titan god of after-thought, and as they say afterthought/sight is 20/20.
hero when gods/godesses have children with mortal men/women
He is the Titan god of afterthought
Epimetheus
His sons were called Titans; Atlas (Endures) Prometheus (Forethought) Epimetheus (Afterthought) Menoetius (Doomed Might)
Fathering Atlas, Prometheus, and Epimetheus. Just so you know, Iapetus is more correctly identified as a Titan.
Epimetheus lived on Earth with Pandora, the unleasher of famine, disease, death, hunger, etc.
Epimetheus IS the Latin version of the name. In Greek it would be ἘπιμηθεύςIn all seriousness, though, not all the Greek gods had Estruscan/Roman counterparts, so they simply kept or "Latinized" the Greek names. In this case, since the Greek name fit the naming conventions of Roman names, they simply kept it.
