What are flight attendants duties?

FAs may do duties in the ticketing department, or maybe in the cargo handling; they could also work on the check in counters, or maybe in ticket receivers by the boarding gate. But the typical work of a flight attendant is in the air, in where they ensure the safety and security of the passengers by demonstrating the safety procedures, how to do the belt and the like; in often times they would announce when will they would fasten their seatbelt or prepare for landing. They also ensure the comfort and convenience by serving the meal, attending a passenger in need, asking them if they need anything or for refills, they often glance on people's faces and if they see any discomfort in their faces, some may approach a certain passenger and ask for the passengers convenience. They also assist the passengers in their seat during boarding, or help them stow their heavy carry-on items (international weight limit of carry-on: 7 kilos) on the overhead bins, often assist passengers with babies change their nappies, as some int'l flights have baby corners for change of nappies. In an emergency situation, they instruct the passengers on what to do, and what to grab, were to go, and leads in the survivability if they crashed in a deserted island waiting for rescue.
