The basic function of a social worker is to help and protect vulnerable people, to help and sustain people who wish to remain in their homes. To protect children and adults that are in need of help. Being a social worker is a big responsibility - get it right and you are an angel, get it wrong and you are condemned by people who don't realise the pressure social workers are working under.

Social workers help individuals and families navigate challenges and access resources to improve their well-being. They provide counseling, support, and advocacy to address social and emotional issues, such as mental health, poverty, abuse, and addiction. Social workers also work to promote social justice and equality through community outreach and policy development.
