Sohrab has many personality traits similar to those of his late father, Hassan. He is very intelligent and perceptive, at a very young age. He also is not vengeful at all, and does not lash out or blame others for his misfortunes. His attempted suicide, and later his silence, are not to cause Amir pain; he does these because he has given up. He is extremely troubled, having gone through a difficult time nearly all his life. He lost his parents and Sasa at a young age, and was sold out of his orphanage to the Taliban.
There are more, but these are all I can think of off the top of my head.
Hope this helped . (;
