Cory Catfish tank mates include most community tank fish as long as they are non-aggressive and friendly in nature. Otocinclus Catfish, Tetras, Swordtails and of course other Corys can be a good fit.

The tank is not big enough to house any more fish. The basic rule is "1 inch of fish needs a minimum of 1 gallon of water" Although your tank is NOMINALY 1.5 gallons, in fact it will only hold about 1 gallon max because it will never be filled to the brim when it has fish in. (In actual fact the tank is not really big enough to house any fish at all).
Are swordtails fish semi aggressive?
I have never had any problems with swordtails. I have 1 male and 2 females in a tank with 2 angelfish, 1 serpae tetra, 1 blue gourami, 1 dalmatian molly and 1 mickey mouse platy. There will always be exceptions to the rule but, as far as my experiences go, they are not.

There is no way a UV sterilizer will cure your fish of velvet. IMO they are a waste of money and counterproductive because they do more harm than good in a fish tank by indiscriminately killing good bacteria as swell as bad. Velvet disease (Oodinium) is a skin disease and the fish will all have it in their slime coats. The UV Sterelizer will do nothing to fix anything that is on the fish it can only kill water born, UV sensitive, life that actually passes through it. Acriflavine is a good reliable treatment for Velvet disease but commercially available Ich (whitespot) cures should also do the job.
